The Group

Confronted with new situations, techniques and practices, people typically try to orient themselves ethically: What is right to do? How is it good to live? How can I motivate myself to do and live what I think is right and good? Practical philosophy asks for realistic descriptions and successful justifications of such orientations. In our group we work both on fundamental questions of ethics and political philosophy and on specific application problems (see Research).

With the professorships Hampe, Wingert and Wagner, very different philosophical questions are discussed together - also in a joint philosophy colloquium.
